BPM Festival 2014 Recap | Top 5 Parties & Tracks

IMG_3300

My main goal this year was to hit up the Innervisions & Diynamic night parties and whatever day parties I could and just have fun and relax more instead of wearing myself out by trying to attend every party....as that's what i did last year, and barely made it out alive.  Anyone that has been to the festival knows that it is a marathon festival, basically 10 days of nonstop parties day and night.

Here are my Top 5 parties  i enjoyed during the dates of the 3-10th. The recap video i made below does not have that great sound, but gives you a idea of what it was like to be there in person.

1/4/14 - ADID at Mamitas: Lee Burridge vs Matthew Dekay, Luca Bacchetti, Essáy, Mike Khoury (DAY PARTY)

ADID  The weather definitely added a different aspect to the festival this year, during Lee Burridge and Mathew Dekay's set the wind picked up during a heavy bass track, and started blowing off the lanterns and tearing off the tent that they had set up in the morning, but everyone was into it and was just dancing in the rain..it was definitely memorable.
In the recap video i threw together above at the very beginning is the clip I am talking about.

1/6/14 - Culprit at Fusion: Adriatique, Climbers, Droog, , Justin Jay, Shall Ocin (DAY PARTY)

1012668_10151790537446923_269339811_n  On the 6th it was still raining and the weather definitely slowed down the number of people that were out and about. But that did not stop the party. By the time jozif and Matt Tolfrey got on and did a back to back set the place was packed and the vibes and music were tops. Adriatique has always been one of my favorites, and it was great to finally see them live and in such a intimate setting at Fusion.

1/7/14 - Life and Death at Mamitas: Tale Of Us, Mano Le Tough, DJ Tennis, Thugfucker, Recondite (live) (DAY PARTY)

This was my first time seeing Tale Of Us on such a big scale and was in the back lying down through most of the set on one of the cabana beds and just soaking in the tunes and the breeze from the beach. The place was packed and all the music was on point...props to Mano Le Tough for always coming through with the tracks I really wanted to hear like "Moderat - Bad Kingdom (Marcel Dettmann Remix)"

1/9/14 - Diynamic at Blue Parrot: Solomun, H.O.S.H., David August (live), Stimming (live), Adriatique, Kollektiv Turmstrasse (NIGHT PARTY)

1560383_608804992519504_171919671_n  I partied really hard for this one and was definitely freaking out for pretty much all of David August and Solomuns sets. The whole Diynamic crew did an amazing job, i could not have asked for more. You can watch the whole set below streamed live on BE-AT.TV

1/10/14 - Innervisions at Blue Venado: Dixon, Ame (LIVE/DJ), Mano Le Tough, Marcus Worgull, Michael Gracioppo and surprise guest David August (NIGHT PARTY)

IMG_3233 This party was truly a life changing experience. Âme and Dixon put me in a trance and I was spellbound by the serenity of the view and the just the whole vibe was something that it's almost impossible to explain without being there in person. There was a glorious sunrise as well.

Here are the Top 5 Tracks i heard at BPM 2014

Moderat - Bad Kingdom (Marcel Dettmann Remix) - This track in my opinion was the festival anthem, must have heard it at least 10 times from all the big names during BPM this year.

Sailor & I - Turn Around (Âme Remix) - Âme played this during his Innervisions set and I was blown away.

Jullian Gomes feat. Bobby - Love Song 28 (Charles Webster Live Mix) - Mano Le Tough started his set with this one at the Life & Death party...such a groove.

Polyester - Sam Paganini - Solomun slammed this number in his set and got everyone moving

Kölsch - Der Alte - Another track Solomun played that got to me
